Álvaro Icaza was born in Lima (Perú) in 1982. He started studying painting at
the Pontificia Universidad Católica del Perú (PUCP). Nowadays he continues
studying at the University of Barcelona, focusing to develop his projects in
solitary as in collaboration with other artists.
He has shown his work in Spain, Paris, Greece and Lima. Recently he has been
selected for Sala de Art Jove 2010 exhibition in Barcelona, also he has been
nominated for Injuve Visual Arts 2009 Grant in Madrid.
Currently, Álvaro and Verónica share an atelier at the Residency Programme in
Can Xalant Centre for Creation and Contemporary Thought in Mataró, Barcelona
